Are you a mom struggling to balance your career and family life? Do you ever find yourself feeling torn between your desire to care for your loved ones and your professional aspirations? Have you thought about leaving the career you worked so hard to build and start building something else? As someone who has been there where you are, I understand how challenging it can be.
For years, I dedicated myself to the nursing profession, driven by a passion for caring for others and making a positive impact in their lives. I was steadfast in my determination to pursue this noble profession throughout my college years and beyond. I thrive on making a positive difference in the lives of those around me because of my affinity for connecting with people.
After years of working both locally and internationally, motherhood presented me with a new set of circumstances that forced me to reconsider my career path. I made the decision to prioritize my family and stay at home.
It was during this time that I stumbled upon a training program for social media management, which piqued my interest in remote work. As I began exploring various job postings, a friend introduced me to the Leonexus Virtual Assistants, and I immediately felt a connection. It was serendipity, a stroke of luck, and perhaps divine intervention that led me to take the leap of faith and make a career change.
Along the way, I’ve acquired a unique set of skills and experience that allows me to provide comprehensive support to Leonexus Virtual Assistants in the areas of social media management, creating compelling marketing materials, ensuring that everything that needs to be written is done in a professional and effective manner, and coaching.
Being tasked with the responsibility of team leader and coach, even though it was outside of my comfort zone, was one of my most significant challenges. As a natural people person, I thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common goals. Taking on the role of team leader and coach, on the other hand, required a different set of skills that I had not yet fully developed.
Despite this, I approached the challenge with a positive attitude, holding on to Ms.Leonorzen’s trust in me.
The experience helped me to grow professionally and personally; although it was a daunting task at first, I am proud to say that my team benefited greatly from my leadership and coaching, and we were able to successfully achieve our goals. I am now much more confident in my ability to effectively lead and coach teams.
I believe that motherhood should never have to be a barrier to professional success. My decision to step back from my professional career in order to focus on raising my children did not hinder my success in any way.
You can have both, and I want to share my story to encourage other moms to pursue their passions and explore new career paths. Whether you are a trained nurse like myself or have expertise in other areas, there is a world of opportunity waiting for you. With a positive attitude, hard work, and a little bit of luck, you, too, can achieve success as a virtual assistant or in any other career you choose.
Moms who want to prioritize motherhood first should know that there is a career that will allow them to do so.
You are not required to choose one but rather to add another to complement the first. I dabbled in freelance despite knowing very little, but I learned along the way because I believed I could because God led me to people who believed in my potential before I even realized it and because I chose to fly with positive wings. That’s why I’m confident you can, too.
